Serving to change lives for eternity

Walter P Taylor Block Party
April 25, 2009

Thank you so much to all who participated for being a
part of our first service project on Saturday. We all feel
that the block party was a huge success.

We would love to have input from each and every part-
icipant, especially for this first project. If you could
please take a few minutes and send us an e-mail we
would love to share anything you learned, felt, saw, ex-
perienced, etc., especially anything that you feel God
revealed to you. We hope this will be a way to allow
others to see and hear about the
benefits of serving,
especially those who participated as a family. We would love
to go back to the same neighborhood over and over again to
show the people there how much God loves them and how
much we do, too. Please send your email to:
info@z-foundation.org.

We are going to be meeting with Bill and Janice Clark, the
founders of KICKO, very soon, to brainstorm about how
The Z Foundation can best serve and work with KICKO to
continue reaching out to the kids and families in these inner
city neighborhoods. We are going to suggest that we get
more churches involved, possibly having nine different
churches each adopt one of the nine KICKO neighborhoods.
As you probably have figured out by now, we are
extremely excited about what God has in store for us
as an organization. We were very happy to see how
all of the volunteers jumped in and helped with such
eagerness. But, the best part was seeing the
interaction between the volunteers and the
participants. We saw a lot of smiles and laughter and
love being shared all around the park.

During the day, we realized that 8 different churches
were represented through the volunteers. Awesome!
"Carl and I were so blessed to serve Saturday at the Z-Foundation Block
Party -- we so enjoyedplaying games with the kids and seeing everyone enjoy
the beautiful day filled with fun activities and food! As we were leaving and
walking to our car a gentlemen driving a pickup truck stopped to say "Thanks
for what you guys did today." Thanks for all of your hard work!

As we were leaving the neigh-
borhood, a man in a skeleton
t-shirt yelled out to us and
said
"Love you, please come
back again!
".

Thank you again for taking the
time to love and serve your
neighbors. We had a great time
and hope you did too.
