Z Family We are so proud of the families and individuals that have served with the Z Foundation that we created a page just for them. Photos will be continually added as we participate in service projects. |

Z Foundation "I just wanted to say thank you for allowing us to participate in the service/mission project yesterday with the Z-Foundation. This was the first time my family had ever done a mission project together and I believe it cast a vision for us to do more serving together. I wanted you to know how much yesterday blessed us and to thank you for your efforts. We have been touched already by Zachary's legacy." Be blessed! We were. Paul Bowman |

"I had a great time at the block party! It was so fun to play with the little kids! I think that we showed them that there is someone out there actually caring for them. I can't wait till the next project!!!!" :) Daniel |

Z Foundation "I really enjoyed this outreach and thought it was very well-organized, especially considering it was the kick-off event. I don't think it could have gone any smoother. I intentionally set out to spend time with the older generation as well as the youth during this outreach. For instance, I approached a grandmother who was resting under a shade tree near the center of activity on that unusually hot spring day. I shared with her what had happened to Zach and how your family had decided to honor Zach by serving God and others. She seemed very interested in the tragedy as she had just recently lost a niece. We talked about the need to have a community of faith to help us through tough times. |
As we were leaving. I was deeply touched by the sight of some African American men who had been hanging around on the outskirts of the event, more as observers than participants. But as we drove away on the bus, they were waving to us! Thanks again for providing us with this outreach opportunity." Dee Pierce |

"We had a great time last Saturday at the Walter P. Taylor event. Our kids, Harry 9 & Georgi 5 1/2, as well as my husband & myself, were so blessed by the opportunity to serve members in our comm- unity. Harry was especially touched as he made several new friends. The exposure to the needs in our community touched us as a fam- ily - but especially our son Harry- who was unable to sleep and rose at 4 am b/c of his concerns for a little boy named KeShaun that he had met. This is not a bad thing ( although getting up at 4 with him wasn't fun)- to be burdened by the burdens of others - to realize that the world we live in is insulated from so much pain that others feel on a daily basis. Most importantly, Harry, spent time in prayer for these children- not feeling sorry for them but wanting to know where he fits into their lives. This is such a blessing - mainly b/c we as a family have searched for over a year for an organization to link with our family. As parents, we want to serve together not separately - we want our children to have a personal connection to our community which boundaries exceed the 37934 zip code. I was also very blessed to meet a young man and learn of his personal struggle with a suicide attempt, coming to Christ and being young, black and unemployed. This is much more than I bargained for but welcomed the discussion. We have talked about our visit many times and look forward to returning to Walter P. Taylor homes to serve again." Thanks so much!
