This was our big summer outreach to the Walter P. Taylor neighborhood. We had a Christian rap band (CCM) come up from Savannah, Georgia to share their music, testimonies and the Gospel message with our friends from Walter P. We had about 150 people show up to enjoy the music, crafts and food. There were quite a few new people who had never heard about the Z Foundation, so we were able to share Zach's story with many of them, opening doors into discussions about faith and loss and trusting in God no matter what. Several of the Walter P. residents took the opportunity to ask for prayer or encouragement from the members of CCM, which was exactly what we were hoping for. |
