Serving to change lives for eternity

Meet Jon Hatton
Over the past year Z-Foundation has had the
chance to see God's hand at work in many
ways through video projects and multiple
ministry opportunities. We have definitely had
our hands full with everything God placed in
our path, but it has been a very exciting
journey to say the least! However, with
everything going on, we completely forgot to
share with all of you one of the many
blessings Z- Foundation received.
In January of this year, an anonymous donor offered to pay the salary of a new employee for Z-Foundation,
Jon Hatton. Jon, age 26, is a Little Rock, Arkansas native with a degree in religion from Liberty University.
He is a multi-talented, intensely creative and passionate young man with an overwhelming desire to live like
Christ. Jon came to Knoxville in the summer of 2007 to serve as an intern with the middle school ministry of
Two Rivers Church. He soon transitioned into a more creative role, as they began to see his many talents
and gifts surface as he ministered to the students at 2RC. One of Jon's dreams is to be a youth pastor,
because he knows that will allow him to use every talent God has gifted him.

Since January, Jon has played a huge role in the media side of Z-Foundation. He helped our team complete
the
Robin's Nest Promo Video that will be used to raise to raise funds for the nest, as well as completely
reworking the
Serving Knoxville as One Video. He also helped produce a video for Joni and Friends
Knoxville. His most recent project was painting a mural at the Walter P. Taylor Boys and Girls Club
(below).
He is currently working on media projects for Infusion Ministries and KICKO
(Knoxville Inner City Kids
Outreach).

Jon also went with us to Jamaica where he transformed a wooden playground, designed and built by
Z-Foundation, into a "Z-Fortress" complete with faux stone and seven hand painted plaques.

These projects, along with several others and a desire to serve, are what make Jon such an important part of
our lives and a huge asset to the Z Team. The purpose of this story is not just to tell you how important Jon
is as a part of Z-Foundation, but also to announce the next big step in his amazing journey.

In September of this year, Jon will be leaving us to go to YWAM (Youth With a Mission), to complete 3
months of discipleship training (DTS), before spending another 3 months overseas doing mission work. He
will be going to one of the largest bases, where the University of the Nations is located, in Kona, Hawaii. As
many of you know, our daughter (Kelly) is in Brazil right now doing the outreach associated with her
YWAM journey. When Jon heard how much Kelly is learning and growing, be began to pray about going
himself. After a lot of prayer and wise council, Jon decided this was an opportunity he could not pass up.

The total cost for this worthy endeavor is a little over $11,000 total for 6 months of ministry. He cannot get
there on his own so we are humbly asking each one of you to prayerfully consider coming alongside Jon by
supporting him through prayer and/or financial contribution.

Here are some links to more of Jon's Videos and YWAM pages that will give you all the information you
may want to know about the program.
