Kicko's Fall Sidewalk Sunday School program is underway!

KICKO (Knoxville Inner City Kids Outreach) is one of the local ministries that the Z
Foundation has committed to help by providing both volunteers and media. We actually
started our Walter P. Taylor outreaches because of KICKO's involvement in and love for
that neighborhood. The founders, Bill and Janice Clark, have a passion for reaching out and
touching the lives of Knoxville's inner city children. Most of these children do not have the
opportunity and luxury of going to church on Sundays like most of us do, so KICKO
brings church to the children!

One of our Z Families, Wendy Kuhn and her three children, has volunteered with KICKO's
Sidewalk Sonday School program and have really enjoyed the experience. In fact, they are
planning on attending the upcoming planning meeting and will be volunteering again this
spring. Wendy said she would be more than happy to talk with anyone who is interested
and answer any questions. Her number is: 675-9719. We would absolutely love to have a
few more Z Families step up to the plate and offer their time and energy to this amazing
ministry. It is only a three month commitment of just a few hours per week.

Here is the official announcement from KICKO. If you are interested, but cannot make it to
the meeting next week, please call Janice anyway. Since Wendy is going to that meeting, she
can probably get all the information necessary for other volunteers.

Please check out the
KICKO website to get an idea of what they are all about.
