April 1 - Food Giveaway Open Door Church |
Two Rivers Church recently purchased a truck load of food from Second Harvest Food Bank to be given out to the needy in three ways: Two Rivers Church gave food boxes to families from Eaton School, in Loudon County; Feeding God's Children gave food to Lighthouse Ministries in Kentucky; and The Z Foundation supplied thousands of pounds of food to Open Door Church, a ministry in South Knoxville that ministers to and feeds the homeless. |
Several Z Foundation volunteers showed up to help unload the truck, divide the food, and load our portion onto a truck to be delivered to Open Door Church. We have spoken to the pastor of Open Door Church recently, and he was extremely thankful for the donation and told us that he is actually ready to open up a food pantry at the church, and all of the food we gave him would be used to stock that pantry!!! |
